NP3 and Groninger Museum seek the Young Grunn Artist 2019!
After a successful YGA II, resulting in a large solo exhibition by Esther de Graaf in the Coop Himmelb[l]au Pavilion of the Groninger Museum, a new search for talent begins. NP3 and the Groninger Museum are seeking ‘young’, Groninger* talent: the YGA III of 2019!
Are you an artist, designer, architect (or something in between) and are you ready to take the next step in your career? Are you strong willed and open to critical reflection on your own artistry and development? Do you want to make new contacts and develop your artistic career in terms of content, business, promotion and technique? Are you ready to make a difference and to conquer the national and even international art world? And do you want an opportunity to win a solo exhibition in the Groninger Museum?
Then you are the artist we are looking for!
YGA III – The programme
The YGA programme is an extension to the selected artists’ existing professional practice. With the necessary professional support, NP3 and the Groninger Museum offer the artists a unique opportunity to take the next major step in their career, sharpening and deepening their artistry to take it to a higher level. With this they are given opportunities and ‘tools’ to realise the artistic goals they have in mind and that are necessary to connect with the (inter)national art world. An important element of the programme is working on an proposal for an exhibition consisting of new work. The final selection of the artist that is chosen to exhibit in the Groninger Museum is based on the artist’s developments in the YGA programme and the exhibition proposal.
YGA III – Application
Do you want to participate in the challenging, one-year coaching programme YGA III and get a chance to win a solo exhibition in the Groninger Museum? Send us documentation that represents your talent, vision and engagement as an artist. The documentation’s form is up to you and should give a clear insight into your work and development up to this point. Explain why you want to participate in the programme. Describe the way the programme could help you achieve your goals and intended development and convince us why you are the potential YGA III of 2019!
YGA III – Selection procedure
The first selection is based on documentation and motivation. Selected artists will have a meeting with the curators, in order to pass final selection and participate in the one-year coaching programme YGA III.

Na een succesvolle afsluiting van YGA II, met als resultaat een grote solotentoonstelling van Esther de Graaf in het Coop Himmelb[l]au Paviljoen van het Groninger Museum, komt er een vervolg. Opnieuw zijn NP3 en het Groninger Museum op zoek naar “jong”, Groninger* talent: de YGA III van 2019!
Ben jij die kunstenaar, ontwerper, architect (of iets daar tussen in) die toe is aan een nieuwe carrière-stap? Ben je eigenzinnig en sta je open voor kritische reflectie op je eigen kunstenaarschap en ontwikkeling? Wil je nieuwe contacten leggen en je artistieke carrière inhoudelijk, zakelijk, promotioneel en technisch verder ontwikkelen? Ben je er klaar voor om het verschil te maken en om de nationale en zelfs internationale kunstwereld te veroveren? En wil je kans maken op een solotentoonstelling in het Groninger Museum?

YGA III – Het traject
Het YGA-traject is een aanvulling op de bestaande beroepspraktijk van de geselecteerde kunstenaars. Met de nodige professionele ondersteuning bieden NP3 en het Groninger Museum de kunstenaars een unieke kans om de volgende grote stap in hun carrière te maken, hun kunstenaarschap aan te scherpen, te verdiepen en naar een hoger niveau te tillen. Hiermee krijgen ze mogelijkheden en ‘gereedschappen’ aangereikt om de artistieke doelen die ze voor ogen hebben te realiseren en die nodig zijn om aansluiting te vinden bij het (inter)nationaal kunstcircuit. Een belangrijk element van het traject is het werken aan een tentoonstellingsvoorstel met nieuw werk voor in het Groninger Museum. De definitieve selectie van de kunstenaar die de tentoonstelling in het Groninger Museum mag maken, vindt plaats op basis van de ontwikkelingen van de kunstenaar in het YGA-traject en het tentoonstellingsvoorstel.
YGA III – Aanmelden
Wil je deelnemen aan het uitdagende, éénjarige coachingstraject YGA III en kans maken op een solotentoonstelling in het Groninger Museum? Stuur ons documentatie die jouw talent, visie en engagement als kunstenaar duidelijk weergeeft. De vorm van documentatie is vrij en geeft een helder beeld van je werk en ontwikkeling tot nu toe. Motiveer duidelijk waarom je aan het traject wil deelnemen. Omschrijf daarbij je doelen en de ontwikkelingsstappen waarbij het traject uitkomst zou kunnen bieden en overtuig ons waarom jij de potentiële YGA III van 2019 bent!
YGA III – Selectieprocedure
De eerste selectie vindt plaats op basis van documentatie en motivatie. Met deze kleine selectie kunstenaars gaan de curatoren van NP3 en Groninger Museum in gesprek, om uiteindelijk te komen tot een definitieve keuze van kunstenaars die deel mogen nemen aan het éénjarige coachingsprogramma YGA III.
