In collaboration with NP3, Stampa will create a live art talk show that is completely devoted to the Groningen art climate.
Presenters Stefano Keizers and Sacha Bronwasser interview artists, officials, art students, art journalists and other key figures from the Groningen scene from MOBi in Groningen to get to the bottom of the matter: What is the situation of the arts in Groningen?
NP3 has programmed a special event in MOBi around Talkshow Stampa, which has been made and streamed for a live audience at varying locations since 2016. NP3 celebrates the 17th anniversary and the official opening of the container art space MOBi on the ‘Suikerterrein’.
There is a lot of new young Groningen art on display. The hosts walk around in designs by artist Jurjen Galema aka drag queen Lola Lasagna. Resort director Karina Bakx talks about studio shortage. Director Paula Lambeck discusses the position of Kunstpunt Groningen. Marcelo Agustin Martinez turns drones into musical instruments. Journalist Joep van Ruiten (Dagblad van het Noorden) shines a light on the role of the media. The hosts talk with artists, like Marit Westerhuis, about why they either left Groningen, or why they stayed there. What do they gain from leaving or staying? They tell it themselves in Stampa. Alan Ahued Naime and Paul Verheul make the movement of time tangible and performer Dragan Glamočić electrifies the art space.
In Talkshow Stampa Groningen Special, two big questions come up: what does a talented Minerva student have to do in Groningen after graduation? Are you sufficiently visible, are there good galleries, can you find an affordable studio? And Stampa is looking for the answer to a second question: does Groningen have enough to offer the art lover, or should it be more adventurous?
