THEY/THEM is an interdisciplinary gathering initiated by music and context maker JÓRMA.
Not a concert, not a theater piece.
THEY/THEM is a safe space where everyone can feel seen and heard. An occasion to reflect together on how we look at “the other”. An invitation to unleash the freest version of yourself. For this evening the fluid cast is formed by singer-songwriter Jonathan Bonny, singing actor Hélène Vrijdag and dancer Paolo Yao.
THEY/THEM represents an invitation to look beyond boxes, pronouns and categories; it is an intimate celebration of the differences that make connections possible. Teddy’s Last Ride, Jórma and NP3 invite you to connect with them, with yourselves and with the people around us all. After the gathering, feel free to stay around, enjoy the installation, have a chat with us and the artists and vibe with music of ELA//404 and Othernode.

About JÓRMA
JÓRMA (they/them) is the artpop alter ego of Rotterdam-based music maker Jonathan Bonny (he/they). JÓRMA describes themself as a music & context maker because the context in which their music is presented is crucial for the desired connection with the audience. By curating safe spaces in which the music can be experienced, audiences are encouraged to be vulnerable while doing so. JÓRMA’s music combines sensitive singer-songwriter aesthetics with electronic dance references. In a live setting they combine acoustic instruments and vocals with synthesizers and beats. Jonathan Bonny has composed music for multiple theater productions of Teddy’s Last Ride, for example 9 Weeks from Now.
