Motus Sonus is an interdisciplinary project curated by two Netherlands-based artists: dancer and choreographer Alesya Dobysh and music composer Max Frimout. Their research explores the interplay between movement, sound and space. Besides the influence of the artists involved, the space and the ever-changing acoustics of the room play a role in the final form.
Alesya and Max collaborate with local and international multidisciplinary artists from different backgrounds – including performance art, sound art, martial arts and street and club dance. The interaction between contemporary art and urban culture are important sources of inspiration.
