Alternative Economies is a worksession in collaboration with Platform BK and De Appel Amsterdam as part of their three day Collaboration Station programme. On Saturday November 9th, Katie Ceekay gives a talk in person at De Appel on commoning and resources, followed by a participatory work session. The talk will be (live)sound-streamed exclusively to NP3 | RE:Search:Gallery. After this the same work session at De Appel will take place at NP3 | RE:Search:Gallery in real time via Zwaan Ipema and Sonia Polidori as Katie’s proxies.

Motus Sonus is an interdisciplinary project curated by two Netherlands-based artists: dancer and choreographer Alesya Dobysh and music composer Max Frimout. Their research explores the interplay between movement, sound and space. Besides the influence of the artists involved, the space and the ever-changing acoustics of the room play a role in the final form.

Alesya and Max collaborate with local and international multidisciplinary artists from different backgrounds - including performance art, sound art, martial arts and street and club dance. The interaction between contemporary art and urban culture are important sources of inspiration.
