seedbeds | 5-week programme
Katie Ceekay
February 2 – March 2, 2025
NP3 | RE:Search:Gallery (Hofstraat 21)
seedbeds is a five week public programme extending artist Katie Ceekay’s current research on commoning, resource distribution and collective critical discourse. She is looking for ways in which artists and the wider public together can get access to skills and environments that are often either gatekept or can feel intimidating, including both essential skills and essential community. She attempts to ‘common’ the resources she has received through her current funding – Groningen Visual Arts Stipend Land -, such as money, expertise and physical space.
From February 2nd until March 2nd, there will be five seedbed sessions at NP3 | RE:Search:Gallery, totally free to attend, including snacks, tea / coffee and a nice environment to come together in.
The sessions alternate weekly between Sundays and Fridays, including focus on both skills transference (seedbedSkills) and sessions intended as shared working spaces (seedbedWork).
Each session has a limited capacity and sign up is required: send an email to katie.ceekay@gmail.com stating which event(/s) you wish to sign up for, or book a spot for the whole programme. Please include your dietary needs.
