Artists: Shari Mona Cinzia, Sonya Dubyna, Joana Franco, Anna Musikhina, Letizia Roccaro
Curator: Sonia Polidori
Opening: Friday April 11, 17.00 hrs.
Exhibition: April 11 – 12, 13.00 – 17.00 hrs.
In this exhibition, curated by Sonia Polidori, five artists from Frank Mohr Institute, Painting and MADtech, present their recent works. Sonia’s selection of artists and works emerged from a recurring theme that she encountered during her conversations with the artists, namely a shared tension between presence and absence. This common thread became the basis of this exhibition. While some works deliberately conceal from sight, others make things visible, inviting the viewer to experience moments of intimacy, vulnerability, or confrontation.
The aim of the works is not to offer immediate clarity, they rather thrive in ambiguity, leaving it to the viewers to fill in the gaps and project their thoughts. Through acts of hiding and revealing, the exhibition becomes an exploration of memory and emotions; the physical body as well as the digital realm. This exhibition is then an invitation to pause and reflect, to feel and imagine, to experience what is portrayed but also what is suggested.
RE:Store 2025
RE:Store is a series of four exhibitions in which second-year students from the Frank Mohr Institute, from the Master programmes of Painting and MADtech (Media, Art, Design & Technology), showcase their current research and experiment with modes of presenting their work. This year, inspired by the exhibition This is the Show and the Show is Many Things (1994, S.M.A.K., Ghent), students are invited to explore a dynamic and fluid exhibition-making style. During the four exhibitions, the public is invited to exchange views with the participating artists.
RE:Store #1: March 28 – 29
RE:Store #2: April 4 – 5
RE:Store #3: April 11 – 12
RE:Store #4: April 18 – 19
RE:Store is a collaboration between NP3 and the Frank Mohr Institute. The annual exhibition programme offers students a dynamic platform to collaborate across disciplines, as well as a public setting for presenting their work and engaging with audiences.
